I'm a Toronto-based creative thinker - an art director, creative director and artist. I've been creative in some way at every stage of my life. Creativity is what gets me up every morning. I attended Toronto's best high school for the arts and then went to the Ontario College of Art and Design, where I received the Harrod & Mirlin scholarship and internship which led to a full time position with FCB. From there I was recruited to BBDO Toronto, where I grew and evolved and was promoted to ACD. These were an incredible nine years, where I was mentored by and learned from, in no particular order, Jack Neary, Ian MacKellar, Lori Davison, Alan Madill, Terry Drummond, Peter Ignazi, Carlos Moreno, Steph Nerlich, Gerry Frascione, Patrick Scissons, Mark Mason, Dom Caruso, Darlene Remlinger, and Andy McKay. Next came Ogilvy Toronto and the position of CD. I enjoyed a rewarding three years exploring new brands and a different agency culture. From here I was recruited to Anomaly Toronto, which was an entirely different agency model. I enjoyed two years here learning from Pete Breton and Dave Douglass as well as having the privilege of leading an extraordinary team of young talent. But I also learned from them - especially the social and digital possibilities available to us and how we can apply this thinking to help develop and support big idea thinking. In my spare time I turn my passion from applied art to art. This is either drawing, painting, writing, or even sculpture. You can see some of these works on this site. Have a peek. It's an important part of my creative world and is a bit more unbridled, but I believe we should be observing and creating all the time no matter where or what we are doing. The way I see it, I'm never more than a few feet from something that inspires me.
Enjoy
